I’m at camp!!! Camp Nanowrimo to be more specific.
My goal for this month is to dedicate myself to the manic task of trying to get 50,000 words down. Ah, good ol Nanowrimo… why do I do this to myself every year? 50,000 words equates to about 1,667 words a day, but I’m going to push for 2,000. I’ve successfully managed to write 1,000 words a day for three months, so I’m taking it to the next level!
What are your goals for the month of April? And did you reach your January, February and March goals? I hope everyone’s year is getting off to an incredible start. Can you believe it’s already April?!
If you need me, I’ll be here:
I am at Camp NaNoWriMo too! After doing 2 non-fiction books, I’m working on a novel now. First attempt, so I’ll be happy if I just get 50K words out of me. Yesterday began badly with a migraine but at least I got it started. I am also shooting for 2000 words/day to make it.

I’m very excited to hear you giving Camp NaNo a try! I signed up too, but I don’t know how serious my efforts will be (I’m a bit distracted lately).
Good luck! And I hope your goals will be met. C:

Oh How I miss that campfire. I’m sort of regretting backing out, but I know that I have to focus on this other project I’m working on and the BIG real life happenings. Enjoy Camp. I’ll be wishing I was there with you.

I’d love to do NaNo this month but I am editing. 🙂 Can’t complain about that when it means publication! I do all my drafting the NaNo way. 🙂

I started participating in NaNoWriMo last year and ended up winning with my epic fantasy “Prophecy of Misharedra.” For Camp NaNo I am only trying to write 30k words about a biker gang in Tacoma, Wash.
Good luck!

Camp Nanowrimo looks like an auspicious place for any aspiring writer/artist to find their muse and sail smoothly along.
I would love to start putting pen to paper and focus on a short story that I’ve had brewing in my mind for quite sometime but, I am in the middle of a big life-changing event (e.g., moving out of state, house-hunting…). This is consuming my all being for the next few months. However, I do see opportunistic days/weeks/months where I will be able to let my creative juices flow vividly once we get settled into our new home.
Creativity/Ideas are constantly brewing and will one day soon produce something digestible. I never lose hope. In the meantime, I will continue to post short bits of my thoughts & creations on my blog: daileydelights.com
Enjoy the serenity of Camp Nanowrimo!

I’m going for at least 1 poem a day. I’m considering adding some of my other projects to my goal, but I’m scared that might be too much work for my first NaNoWriMo. Good luck with all your work.

I am participating in Camp this year, my goal is 50,000 words. Yet I am having a hard time getting my story started. I have repeatedly opened my writing program, stared at the blank screen, and closed it. Yikes!
Good luck to you, I am sure you will hit your goal!

Wow, 2,000 sounds like a great goal! I’ve never heard of NaNoWriMo but I’m so glad I did. It seems like a great way to push yourself while also encouraging others. Right now my goal is to turn away from the busy world and pursue my passion of writing by posting one blog post per day this month.

How long does a 1,000 words take you?
A badly drawn stick figure picture seems quicker… yet strangely, less satisfying.

I can churn them out in ten minutes, or work on them for over an hour. Depends on the day.

My April goal is to complete my first A to Z Challenge, which is a ‘tour’ of my fantasy world Gossamer Steel. Using it to get more concrete world building for series of shorts, including first NaNo success (2011). Used CampNaNo last year to outline for NaNoWriMo 2013. Now feel I’ve got too much revising to do.
