I thought it might be time for another catch-up post. Just to see what everyone has been working on and where they’re at.
Writing – I’m about 5,000 words away from finishing Chemicals Collide. I started it as my April Nanowrimo project so I’m really proud of how quickly it has come along. I’ve been editing pretty heavily, so as a first draft, it isn’t looking too horrible.
Reading – I read the entire Selection series by Kiera Cass. I’ve read the first two before but re-read them in preparation for the third book coming out. I love that series. At the moment I’m reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. I’m not a huge high fantasy fan, but this seems pretty good so far.
Watching – It feels like all of my TV shows just finished their seasons! Big Bang Theory, The Originals, Reign, Once Upon a Time… what am I going to watch now? TV show recommendations anyone? Suits is coming back though, so that’s exciting.
Upcoming – Query Kombat opens in the next 24-hours or so. I’ve done really well in pitch competitions this year. I won most requested at NestPitch, which was exciting 🙂
Once I finish Chemicals Collide I want to start something new while I sink into heavy revisions. I have an idea in mind that I’m LOVING but it’s still pretty new. It is inspired by this image though… yes, that is Elsa and Jack Frost!
In other news – I got myself a full time job. Because of that, I think I’ll need to start blogging every third day instead of every second, but we’ll see how we go. In other news, it’s coming into winter now here in Australia and getting out of bed in the morning sucks!

Hi! Congrats, Sounds good.
Working on- a collection of short stories that will form my next book. Finished the sequel to the Lighthouse and currently working on two stories for it. Not easy. Lol
But fun.
Watching- Most have wrapped up (don’t know about that Sheldon..!)
Loving Game of Thrones though. Was a fan of Vikings and Supernatural but must wait till next year. Again.

I’ve been going a bit crazy on the writing the past few days. My big WIP, Hooligans in Shining Armour, is at a development editor currently and I started writing a prequel for one of the non-POV characters and got really into it. Fell in love with the character. Now 43k words in!! Congrats on the job and wrapping up your novel 🙂 Happy writing!

First and foremost, Jodie, I just had to tell you how very proud I am of you and all your accomplishments thus far! Your unyielding passion and perseverance is truly inspiring!
As for me, I’m still kind of trying to juggle everything so I may write again. Reading-wise, I am is complete awe of Benjamin Percy’s Red Moon!

I am currently working on my first draft of Bento Box. I have the rough draft finished, and I’m getting feedback from my beta readers. Of course, this means I’m doing nothing else.

I just finished formatting my new book “Death of The Fairy King” for Smashwords, Kindle, and Createspace. It may not have been necessary to format for everything but I am a total perfectionist and want my book to look good across all channels! I have ordered a print from Createspace and am really looking forward to actually having the ability to hold my paperback book in my hands – very exciting!

I’ve been on a poetry kick, but am planning to resume work on my novel. I’ve read several books lately and am about to watch a new horror cable series (the name escapes me) that my husband recommended. So not much … lol.
