I’m in book-buying-mode at the moment. I don’t know where it has come from. Usually, I’ll read a book on my eReader and if I love it, I’ll buy the actual book for my bookshelf. But lately, I’ve been buying everything in sight!
I picked up the first book in Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling series for $3! $3 brand new! I love that series and talk about a bargain.
What was the last book you bought? Do you buy physical books or electronic copies?
I buy most of my books in ‘e’ form, but the ones that really grab me, I’ll splurge and get in print … last book is the latest issue of Lightspeed Magazine – Women Destroy SF … brilliant!… (they turned me down, but I don’t hold that against ’em! 🙂 )

I love Nalini! The last book I bought was her latest psy changeling novel! I also bought murder of crows the second book in Anne Bishop’s urban fantasy series. I would highly recommend it! I buy ebooks now as I’m a voracious reader and one they are cheaper and I can therefore keep my baby in nappies and two, I have a small house and the ebooks are fantastic in terms of space saving!

The last book purchase I made was a box set of four gothic romances for my eReader. I was excited about these but haven’t been able to get into them, simply because I’d rather hold an actual book instead of my iPad, which is usually dead, anyway, because I don’t turn it off and don’t charge it. I’m sure I’ll get to them eventually.

I want to say The Fault In Our Stars was the last book I bought but that doesn’t sound right to me. I can’t remember haha. That clearly means I should go buy another book.

I have hundreds of books…can’t part with them. But just recently I’ve turned to e-books and am choosing them more and more. I’m too impatient to wait until I can get to a book store, or wait until they’re delivered. I need more balance, because I still prefer the feel of paper in my hands, no matter how convenient a Kindle is 🙂

Self-Editing for Fiction Writers. It’s an okay read, but I probably just should’ve gotten it from the library. 🙂

“The Pilgrimage” by Paulo Coelho. A smart, thoughtful, philosophical friend of mine recommended it. I buy so many books that lately I’ve been buying e-books first, unless I already know the author or I’m sure it’s something I’ll want to have in hard copy.

Oh, I just purchased Dan Simmons’ The Terror and a non-fiction political science book, entitled The Politician, through our library’s book sale. $3 for both, I couldn’t pass them up! Plus I’m a huge Dan Simmons fan.:)
